Default How Bout Dem "rays"!

How bout dem Tampa Bay Rays!

Swept dem dasdardly Boston Red Sox right outa town last night.

Beat them all three games and now lead the American League East division by 3 1/2 games!

Look out for an "October surprise" this year from the boys from Tampa.

Best young pitching staff (not a starter over 25) in baseball.

GO RAYS!...........

Default I am

totally shocked and in awe of this team. From nowhere they've come. I believe these guys are for real and are making baseball interesting to me again. Would love to see them and the Cubbies in the Series even though I'm a Braves and of course, Pittsburgh fan. Since I'm a Pgh fan.....I have to have other favorites for as long as Ogden Nutting owns them, they will forever be the best AAA Club in the Majors. Watched the Ray/Sox game last night. First time to watch them and I'm impressed.

No Bud Man...but a Cubs fan!

You're right old buddy-----they ARE for real!

Best fielding percentage infield in baseball.

Best "rookie" (Longoria---3rd base) in baseball.

They "swept" the Cubs last time they were in town also!

I love the Cubs too, but I can't stand Lou Pinnela!---He's a "home town" Tampa boy, but the biggest JERK in baseball!

GO RAYS!>>>>>>>>>>>

As much as I hate to admit it, those damned Rays are playing well, like the Red Sox in 2004 and 2007. They've got the pitching, the confidence, and the attitude. But the season's not over yet.

Even though I'm a Red Sox fan, I'm with Packy on this one.

Rays / Cubbies would be an awesome Series.

Lou Piniella is a primadonna.

Bosox play the Yankees in a four-game series starting tonight.

Yankees beat the dog poo out of the Rangers yesterday...18-7.

The second half of this baseball season is gonna be good!

Default Mah der honorable southern gentleman The great Gimpinski

Not being a follower of baseball, has this "great team" of yours played the Yankees yet (Yankees...what an appropiate name!!!) If not, have them Rays grab their ankles and brace themseves for a good old fashion Northern Hospitality Ass Whoppin'

P.S. I might have failed to mention that I still have the Colts hat for you to wear over that last bet you lost, when you make it to the Mtn

Last night: Red Sox 7 - Yankees 0; if the Yanks can't beat the Sox they might as well send a forfeit note to TB.

I'm anxious to see which Rays make the All-Star team.

I think Pena, Upton, Crawford, and Evan Longoria are good possibilities!

But, I guess I gotta wait 'til Sunday to find out!

Just so happens, the last time the Rays played those DAMN YANKEES they BEAT them 3 out of 4 games and the ONLY game the DAMN YANKEES won was by the measley score of 2 to 1. The RAYS put an ASS WHOPPIN on those DAMN YANKEES like they hadn't seen since the battle of Bull Run!

The RAYS beat their asses so bad that George Steinbrener (Yankees owner who lives in Tampa BTW) was last seen screaming and hollering leaving Tropicana Field in a fit of rage! We look forward to once again kicking some YANKEE ASS next week in the Bronx when they meet again!

Gimp

PS---Steve ---- I agree with your "choices" for the All Star Team, but I think our catcher--Navvaro, who's having a great year with the bat and behind the plate just may be on that "list" as well.

Gimpster,

You're absolutely correct! I overlooked Navarro. Been watchin' a lot of Rays' games and he has made some fantastic plays.

He also did a good job of restraining Coco Crisp during "The Fracas"!
