Default In Remembrance - January 27, 1945
On this date 60 years ago, the Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp in Poland was liberated by Soviet troops.

It is estimated that 1.5 million human beings were murdered in this camp complex.
Over 7,000 were rescued, some of them barely alive.

May we never forget.

Growing up my barber had numbers tattooed on his forearm from Auschwitz.I fear we have forgotten
