Set in the heart of the picturesque Willingham village, just north of Cambridge near Over and Bar Hill, the Duke of Wellington is a traditional English pub, with some inspired modern ideas. Landlords Fran and Barry took over the pub in May 2006, and they have given the pub a complete makeover and new menu.

The pub is bright and well-lit, with real fires and exposed beams and brickwork, benefiting from two bars and a separate eating area. There is a large garden at the back for lazing away summer’s days - with patio heaters for the not so summery days!

The food is really special at the Duke of Wellington. So that they can consistently offer fresh, healthy and tasty food with locally-sourced ingredients at an affordable price they offer just two styles of meals – substantial nutritious pie and mash, or light juicy salads, as well as a lunchtime menu.

There are over 16 pies to choose from, including:
  • Beef and mushroom
  • Chicken and tarragon
  • Haggis and whisky
  • Salmon and broccoli
  • Butterbean and brie
Plus Pie and Mash are now served on Sundays!

And a wide range of warm and cold salads, including:
  • Cheese ploughmans
  • Chicken, bacon and avocado
  • Goat's cheese, walnut and cranberry
  • Hot beef fillet
  • Spinach, feta, and pine nut
  • Greek salad on ciabatta
The Duke of Wellington also serves specialty breads and soups for starters and traditional desserts.

A range of real ales, including IPA and two guest ales and international wines including rioja and pinot grigio will not leave any wanting in the beverage department.

The Duke of Wellington also can bring the pub to you and can set up an outside bar for parties and weddings, just call to ask for details.
