Digital camera 101. There are setting on your camera for pictures.
Set your camera for the lowest setting or pick somewhere around 680X480 , this is not pixal clarity the setting represents picture size. 640X480 is a 4X6 picture what ever your next setting up from that is a 5X7 picture and then a 8X10 and the biggest is a 11X18.
If your camera is a 4 meg camera it takes pictures in the 4X6 setting at 4 meg and it take pictures in the 11X18 setting at 4 meg.
Some cameras have a resolution setting of fine and normal. Those cameras change the pixal but I dought if you could tell the difference,
So if your just taking pictures of stuff , set it at the 640X480 setting, if you want an 5X7 or a 8X10 change your cameras setting to what the picture size is.

Are there any no brainers in the electronic world of cameras. I hate having all those adjustments and settings. Why can't there just be snap and go like the old store boughts.

I had a camera Canon I think - it had so many bells and whistles yet it did take excellent pictures. It had a metal case and somehow it got cracked and I can use it anymore. I think it was a 35mm. Still have it but no one can fix it. I think I will chuck it as its been in closet for about 20 years now.

I bought it overseas I think around 65. Today I just don't have the patience for setting all the particulars and trying to take photos of the grandkids they won't sit that long.

No Im not a jap permoter but Fugi just came out with a camera that will fit your bill. Small, Big LCD screen , I think its 5meg although unless you print a lot of 11X18 pictures anything more than 3Meg is a waste. Im not sure of the price, But its new so,
