Verizon Grant to Fund Oral Educational Programs

WASHINGTON, Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The voices of some of the 256,000

During Veterans Day week, the Vietnam Women's Memorial Foundation

the Library of Congress.

VWMF Founder and President Diane Carlson Evans, R.N., explains: "One
of our foundation's major missions is to educate the public to the
many roles women played during the Vietnam War. We hope to develop

Laureen Otto, RN, VWMF Secretary and Archivist, who is coordinating
the oral history project, said, "The stories of these untold heroes
help our foundation fulfill our educational and healing mission."

This Veterans Day, VWMF is sponsoring a four-day celebration Nov. 8
through 11 to mark the 10th anniversary of the historic dedication of
the Vietnam Women's Memorial on the Mall.
