Once Upon A Time

“Once upon a time, there was a nation of genuine heroes!” People who, in their quiet and unassuming ways, talked little, but rather, pushed forward against all odds and against all of the enemies of freedom and liberty – “SO WHAT HAPPENED!” “Where, within our relatively short journey (thus far), did we lose some of our love of country and truth, our respect for individual freedoms and our sense of shared values?” And don’t ever attempt to tell me that those gallant patriots of yore, those magnificent men and women who laid down our groundwork, bravely fought our wars and gallantly defied “Those Old World Travesties”, would appreciate (or even totally accept) the world as it presently exist? Nor would these valiant souls have ever stood silently by while any fool espoused the nation-destroying sentiment of and I quote: “It is alright to be second best?” “Bull Crap Says I, as all that being second-best ever gets for you is a brief paragraph in the obituaries of all other former world powers!” And always remember this: “We are and will remain the best, only for as long as we truly are the best!!” And only a turncoat ever attempts to transform - “A Nation of Heroes” - Into a Gaggle of Ever Subservient Fools!” Hardcore

An outline as I see it today
We all got what the People voted for - we all now - have to live with it.
As for the Nation - it has dramatically changed it's stature. We wiped out our past - and live for only today - it seems to be the new motto. What once was - has been lost - by those who allowed it to happen. The Country we knew - has a new face - with a future - yet to be defined. The landscape has been altered - and is more difficult to sustain. People are now worse off than they were back in the 50's. Life is quicker today than yesterday's! Ideal's once held with pride - seem a bit tarnished of late. Truth has given way - to speculation and hearsay. God Help America Boats
