More dead liberal Californians
Well, I can see you conservatives are even going to delete the men from Berkeley who gave their lives in Vietnam. Well, here's some more for you to dis and delete, too.Any place where they'll delete a post with all the men from my home town who died in Vietnam over politics is not the place for me.
Berkeley, Richmond, El Cerrito and others are virtually one town, I grew up in all three. You can count on at least 4 out of 5 of these names as either being a liberal, a democrat, or a son of a liberal or Democrat, its that kind of town (there are Republicans here also) Conservatives:I knew 8 men on this list, one on the Berkeley list. Do not ever insinuate I do not come from the home of real patriots, you will not like what happens to you. My home state 0f California gave up more men in VN, WWII AND korea than any other also. Why don?t you tell them what you really think of them? Tell them that what they thought they were fighting for was vile!! Do you believe the words you write? If you believe them and have some cojones, why don?t you write down that some stuff like that last post on Siberia again verbatim?? It won?t be on Memorial Day like before but you can still score big for viciousness. And if you won?t do that, well , we know you like to sign your name to some fat mouth bull!!! James,
I responded to your last post and they eliminated me also.
I still love ya James. I think you are okay. You may not be a weird conservative like me but I still love ya. Keith P.S. A confession that's hard for a slightly conservative preacher. My first presidential vote. I voted for LBJ. |

This political debate is assinine. I mean really, what has been gained here? Nothing. James I do not know who flipped your switch but to insinuate a post was deleted to eliminate a KIA list is way overboard. I did not delete your post and in fact you know who did because he PMed you about it and your direct attack on other members which will never be tolerated. If you do not want to be here that is fine. No one is forcing you to be here. I don't care what you post but when you attack other people specifically it will be removed every time no matter what you try to bury it in.

deleted post
I knew I was missing something. A deleted message answers a lot of questions. Can someone give me an objective thumb nail sketch of what happened? For a list of dead troops to have been deleted, if must have been personal and nasty or it was uncalled for. I'll list the dead from my town in a later post, can't recall the dates off the top of my head but would hate to see them deleted. They all ready lost enough.
Other than vulgarity, Klue type stuff, why would we be censored? Stay healthy, Andy |

Andy I do not have a copy of the post but if I remember correctly there were accusations made that liberals were singled out and sent to their death with a smile in Vietnam for no other reason then they were liberals. Another member was implicated in this supposed plot to kill liberals under the guise of war. This is one of the most outragouse statements I have ever heard in my life and served no purpose other then to set people against each other in the worst way.

Thanks for the info David. I missed all of this. I know the first rule here is not to get too ugly or personal.
I do think that in the future any post with a list of KIA's that needs to be edited should leave the KIA/POW list standing. Always. And with no exceptions. Their names could not be recorded to many times anywhere! Lest we forget. (I know we won't forget I am talkin' about the nation) As for censorship/editing so on and so forth every site on the internet has some regulation and it really is up to the owners of the site how they are regulated. One click and we can go. No one is being forced to stay...sis

Lables and Titles
To one and all
I am not concerned about party affiliation or titles as I am the person. In my opinion someone who is more concerned about the 'state of mankind' and the 'human condition' rather than 'the body politics' should be heard. Its not about party affiliation or political views. Its about how we live our lives. In the "nam" we took care of one another and watched out for one another and we protected each others back. Shouldn't we live our lives the same way? I did not intend to open wounds or debate. I just wanted to inroduce myself and let everyone know where I am coming from and where I hope to be someday. If I offended anyone I apologize. It may take me some time to get the 'lay of the land' and the 'feel of the times.' Please bear with me. I've been told I am a slow learner. 'Dont mean nothing!' cwilkens/716 MP BN/ Saigon/ 1967-68 |
