Default Downward Spiral

For the last several years, the major networks, i.e., CBS, NBC, and ABC, have continued to lose viewers. The recent coup of The Fox News Channel of sweeping the viewership ratings during both the DNC and the GOP conventions was simply a bright shining beacon pointing to more declines in the majors' impact. When we only had 3 sources to compare, and they were all basically saying the same thing, we didn't realy know how badly we were being duped; now that there are alternative news outlets such as cable news, talk radio, and the internet, many folks are finally seing how badly they had been misled by the likes of Rather, Brokaw, and Jennings. It's little wonder that CBS has lost a tremendous number of viewers just recently, and the lose will continue, unless and until Rather pulls a mea culpa. The likely occurrence of that epiphany of honesty happening is about as likely as my being asked to become Pope. Bottom line is that many people have grown sick and tired of being fed the liberal pap and bias, and have migrated to an alternative news source. PS: Dan's not my kind of Texan!

Default Hmmm.......

My wing of bat, eye of knut, webs of perdition secret concoction, plus the fumes from my enlightening duel incense burners reveals to me that Rather is going to segue into a guiltless ambiance and point the fickle finger of guilt at some hapless scapegoat (s).

Mr. Rather, the Managing Editor of CBS News, will not be found culpable in anyway, no way. After all, he is, ?The most rusted name in America? er, was that ?trusted?? I forget these buzz name/word things, eh. I see the rusted one leading the charge to find the alleged wrong doers, as usual, but this will be very thin and transparent by definition. Not unlike rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic methinks.

Default Sir Scamp

Despite the outstanding predictions as foretold by your bat-wing concoction, I suspect that there is a bit of transparency that you may have missed. Doubtless, ol' Danny boy will see that even after 7 rearrangements of the deck furniture, he's still captain of a sinking ship, and more drastic action is required. He will call for a full-scale, complete-with-federally-appointed-special-prosecutor type of re-examination of the fraud that was perpetrated against him, but his reputation has suffered a fatal blow, from which he'll never fully recover. His producer will have to join the unemployment lines, as will a few other lesser heads, but Danny boy will keep his job, at least for another few months. His loudest demands will be for the local district attorney in Callahan County, where Baird, TX, is located, to round up the usual suspects, and start the hangin' before sunset.

Methinks that by this time, Mr. Bill Burkett, the document faxer, is sweating bullets, assuming his attorney, liberal running for the Texas Supreme Court, has advised him to clam up like an oyster at a starfish convention. If, and more likely when, the local DA prosecutes this case, Burkett will be acquiring a striped suntan over in Huntsville.

BTW, my sources at Camp Mabry, headquarters for the Texas National Guard in Austin, tell me that Burkett was at best a marginally performing officer, and was 'passed over' for promotion twice, mandating his forced retirement/resignation from Guard employment, hence his animus toward GWB.

Default Scamp, Scout or whomever...

Whatever anyone thinks of Old Dan's credibility at this juncture,...I MUST go along with and at least cover half of Ron's bet.

After all, and if Bill O'Reilly keeps showing his 2001 interview of Dan Rather, where he quite foolishly admits nationwide and/or publicly that: "...I honestly believe CLINTON (a PROVEN patholical liar) is an honest man",...I have to believe that Dan's: "History".

Hell,...even Clinton's friends and cohorts back in Arkansas and those admiringly naming him: "Slick Willy", must think it quite stupid for anyone publicly displaying ones obvious biases and actual Party favoring loyalty (a journalistic NO-NO), while supposedly(?) unbiasedly informing The People.

That Dan Rather has apparently been doing so FOR MANY YEARS undetected, no doubt has greatly pleased The DNC Socialist Herd and helped them greatly FOR MANY YEARS. Regardless, VERY MANY of: "We The (Schnooks)" and/or; "The UN-Connected" don't particularly like having been deceivingly manipulated every day on the regularly watched Evening News.

I for one certainly believe I'm at least owed an apology, for having so long a time been purposefully deceived by Dan Rather's and CBS's quite obvious and apparent political preferences.

People actually have to get degrees in Law or Journalism, to perpetually keep pulling-off such public deceiving bullshit? It's bad enough that Leftist Politics sucks nowadays. Now, we can't even believe the Mainstream Press/Media, since so overwhelmingly Leftist Bent and QUITE LEFTIST SUPPORTIVE & PROPAGATING.

Wasn't there an earlier occasion when Dan Rather trotted out some "Vietnam veterans" and had them relate their lurid tales of war crimes? Seems to me this was back in the 1980's, and even after it was proven that these tale tellers were nothing than lying wannabees, he refused to apologize and retract his story. This is so typical of the liberals, keep telling lies, keep spinning stories, and keep the focus on themselves instead of the truth. I think, as Scamp so correctly denoted, tht he has indeed become the Most Rusted Man in America!

What is even more sad, from a professional point of view, is that the mainstream TV news guys have been lapdogs for the leftists and liberals for so long, and have lost so much objectivity, and with it, their credibility, and can't seem to understand why fewer and fewer people are watching anymore.

Most document examiners have held the so-called memos are patently fraudulent, and therefore, don't deserve to be spoken about by either the President of the United States, or his lovely wife. Why should either of these decent people dignify the slime that the ultra liberals try to pin on them? It is so typical of losers to create falsehoods, to peddle their counterfeit claims and attempt to character assassinate folks of decency; of course, when they can't argue effectively on the issues, they resort to personal attacks.

Speaking of Bill O?Reilly, some muse that he?s the new household name that will overshadow, ?The most rusted name in America?. I don?t know about all that, but I have just discovered that Tiger O? has a very alluring and absolutely redeeming quality. Ha, Jane Fonda is saying bad things about him. I mean how good does it get and what better qualification can one have, really? I just may overlook his snot persona and chalk that up to him being a fiery Mic with an attitude. Alas, the news is good, very good for once, eh.

As to Rather and crew, sure they have been getting away with their crap forever and instatutionilized the whole damn deal and thus declaring it something really swell and of added value. Methinks they done got dumbed up by breathing too much of their own air for way too long. In reality CBS News is the CBS financial loss-leader, big time, and mayhaps the shareholders may not walk so gingerly around the mega sacred cow much longer.

Default Scamp...

Better than Jane Fonda and other fanatical leftist nuts and/or pompous female notables exposing their TRUE INTENT by busting O'Reilly's chops, is the exposure that such no reason to be listened to whatsoever old ladies,...are actually fanatical supporters or like-thinking and ACTING soulsisters of Kerry and the likes, or socialistic and/or State Superior & Supreme ilk.

Though, that ALL (Kerry inclusive) being exceptionally wealthy and without a care in The World,...it's quite understandable why such societal engineers always stick together. Their way, "They" get to keep most all "Their" treasures, while getting Joe & Mary Taxpayer to generously pick-up-the-tab,...for MANY of "Their" dictated and quite asinine generosity (even to foreigners) laws or policies, with Taxpayer Monies.

Such Democrat ilk are even socialistic with F.I.C.A. monies. Foreigners never paying a dime into The Social Security System reap great rewards from such, when entering America. Democrat ex-President Carter saw to that.

Hell, at war and being under attack aside,...those realities alone should open MANY American Eyes (minds also)?
Hell again,...that might even open Veteran Gimpy's eyes and mind also, even though generations of the brainwashings of such political dupes or pawns undoubtedly need MAJOR DEPROGRAMMINGS,...or lobotomies??

Hold on a sec, not so fast now. It seems that that the rusty one has a new angle that may save the day. When the memos were delivered to the White House no one denied the content so that is now interpreted as an admission of guilt by default, and therefore de facto authorization for CBS to roll. I knew it all along, just had to be them Bush bad boys again. Hmmm, I?m glad that?s all over now. Had me going there for a bit.
