I just read a news item that claimed that employers in ‘Portugal’ can not contact their workers at their homes after hours, save for in dire emergencies? And if this is indeed true, then I have just got to wonder why such a law is not on the books right here within “The Good Old United States of America?” “After all, are we not the most progressive nation upon this entire planet?”

And while we are on the subject of human rights, I have also got to ask why we sometimes fail to lead the way on other (No Brainer) issues? Or are we getting so complacent that we can afford to let the world dictate to us, by way of “Their So-Called United Nations”, an organization that has, on many occasions, proven themselves to be “Anything But” effective and functional, once again – in my opinion?

So why is it that, as a nation that has proven itself to be at the apex of military and social progress and leadership, we still find ourselves bowing low to the dictates of world opinion at times? This is, once again in my estimation, hardly the path that a world-leader would ever consider? “Because if we are going to lead the way, then by ‘God’ man, let us really lead the way! Not always in a violent or totally aggressive fashion mind you, but in a way that leaves absolutely no doubt that we are still - “Numero-Uno en la Casita de Terra - Firma (Number-One in our Little House of Earth)!!”
