This lady calls the fire department and asked if we could come to her house to get a squirrel out of a tree. Normally I just tell people that we can't take a fire truck out of service to get a cat out of a tree, but, I had to see this.
I told my crew we were going to a house to get a squirrel out of a tree. ?????????
We arrived and sure enough there was a squirrel sitting in a tree looking down at us. I asked her why she thought the squirrel needed to be rescued, and she said that a cat chased the squirrel up the tree and it stayed there. I told her that Im sorry but a tree is where squirrels live and we can't take a squirrel away from its home without an eviction order from the owner of the tree.
She didn't know what I was talking about and I didn't tell her that I was being sarcastic and she was stupid. We left.
