Us Army's 173rd Infantry jumped into Northern Iraq today. It is reported that they jumped safely without opposition on the DZ. Give'em hell guys!

Update...Cnn reports that 1000 members of the 173rd jumped into Northern Iraq and secured an airbase.

Seeing as I won't watch the news and I'm not from an army back groung who is the 173rd attached too the 101 st or the 82ed thanks for the help sn-e3 ....chris

173rd is a separate Brigade stationed in Italy. It is still one of the Army's "fire brigades". They go anywhere needed and do what needs to be done.
