Our Own Neros Fiddle, While Rome Yet Burns!

We have contacted all 100 U.S. Senators and some 288 Congressmen of both political parties asking for their bi-partisan support of HR 2369 , Honoring Our Fallen Prisoners of War Act. A Bill that would finally award a posthumous Purple Heart to those who perished in enemy captivity between 7 December 1941 to the present, and indeed, even into the future itself if needs must! For contrary to popular belief, these magnificent troopers were never awarded this Medal for their final sacrifice!

Out of all those contacted, and even while we are still in the throws of yet another war, "But Seven So Far" have responded affirmatively! As a matter of fact, I doubt if more than a couple of dozen have even taken the time to send out an acknowledgement! And for the record, all of the veteran's groups who have expressed support for this Bill, have (and will continue to be) notified as to who did (and who did not) care enough to get involved!

Those who died of starvation, beatings, torture, prolonged exposure, and lack of medical care in hostile hellholes, lived a life of absolute depravation. Stinking, rat and lice infested cells, that are now helping to pay for the champagne, caviar and mansions for some within our elected government!! And yet, a few within that same elected government are abandoning and ignoring the sacrifices of those who paid in blood, sweat and tears for their affluent and powerful existence!

Maybe it is time that we expose those who think so little of our armed forces and those who died in captivity for what they really are? For without the gallant, no government could exist!!
