10th Special Forces Group Soldier dies in Afghanistan

FORT BRAGG, N.C. (USASOC News Service) - Sgt. 1st Class Stephen B. Cribben, 33, of Simi Valley, California, died Nov. 4 in Logar Province, Afghanistan, as a result of wounds sustained while engaged in combat operations in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel. Cribben was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group, Fort Carson, Colorado. The incident is under investigation. Cribben was born on Jan. 27, 1984, in Rawlins, Wyoming. He began his military service on Nov. 20, 2002, as a Military Police Officer and attended One Station Unit Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
