We're keeping track of local troops
We're keeping track of local troops
The members of the Army Reserve 737th Transportation Company will be home soon. But there are many other men an women from the Yakima Valley still serving in the Middle East, and the Yakima Herald-Republic is trying to keep track of them. If you know of someone from the Yakima Valley serving in the military in Iraq, Kuwait or Afghanistan, please submit the following information: Name and rank of the individual; hometown; date of birth; branch of service; military unit; country of deployment; date of deployment and expected return; and any other relevant information. Mail the information to War News, Yakima Herald-Republic, P.O. Box 9668, Yakima WA 98909; or by e-mail to warnews@yakima-herald.com. Also include your name and phone number. If you are not related to the person you are writing about, include a name and phone number of the nearest local family member. _________________________________________________ Small town support for our military is a given in Yakima. If anyone here has information that their community news does anything like this, please post it here
