School almost out

The kid said today (monday) was her last full day of school for the year. She has two more 1/2 days then,,,,SCHOOOOLs OUT FOR, The Summer.

your kids are a couple of weeks ahead of the ones around here. Could be wrong, though. since I haven't had any kids in school for a LOONNGG time, I don't pay much attention to it. When I start seeing them out and about on week days more, then I know.

When I was a kid we allways got out the friday before memorial day at the end of may and started the day after labor day. We didn't have all this fancy stuff they have now teacher insainicilum day mid winter break spring break and who knows what else we had thanks giving day and friday off then the week of christmas and YES we had a christmas pagent every year it was the hi light of the school year. Damn ACLU they wrecked a good thing. then we had good friday off then the last of may we were out for the summer. Maybe things were too simple back then but they were deffintly better for all kids and parents.

Kati goes till June 17.She`ll spend some time with Grandma,but has said that she wants to travel with me more this summer to the races.
One more year and she`ll be in Middle School.

My wife works at a school and said the kids were "bouncing off the walls".. LOL

She has 3 more days left....

Some schools here around the Dallas area, like Plano, have all year round school. Bummer, but Plano is loaded full of richies and they can afford it, till the Robin Hood deal came through.
