Hears a web-cam site that will let you lookin on gaveston this evening, They take a live shot every 3 seconds, I think. Just click on the "Broadband" of the cam you want.

400,000 bikers!

Wow! That sounds bigger than Sturgis!

Yep! Should be interesting.

Be watching the webcams. Thanks!

Look at the STRAND cam, There already lined up.
I don't know if yous guys know anything about Galveston, but , the STRAND is a Street name located in the old, old part of Gaveston, Its a good place to go in the day time with the family, After dark, is a different world.
Sea wall BLVD runs along the ocean, 61st street is the first street you turn onto from 45 to go to the ocean.

Ron,

It's been awhile since I've been to Galveston (late 1980s), but I believe I remember the Strand...think it was officially "Avenue B" and was an East-West street just off the piers on Galveston Bay.

We toured a tall-masted nineteenth century ship called the ELISSA which was moored near there.

Even then, there were some wierd people running around...mostly "New Wave" teenagers with spiked hair & stuff.

Galveston is a beautiful city with a lot of history.

Although Ave B and the Strand are pretty much the same.
I moved to Galveston in 1982 and Ive never heard the Stand called anything but The Stand.
But then, I was wrong once.
