What I?ve gotten so far is that the Texas Republicans are taking advantage of a numerical vote position and are allegedly slam-dunking and picking on the Texas Democrats. I assume the slam-dunk and pick on deal is legal and what politics is all about. Maybe I?m wrong, as I haven?t taken the time to sort the fly shit from the pepper, but to haul ass across the border, do a nanner-nanner thing and say, ?Don?t mess with Texas? from Oklahoma seems real bazaar. :cd:

You're exactly correct. The Rep's now have control of the total political process and have this term. Never before, was always the other way. But no one ever left TX. before when the Dem's were controlling all these years!

A while back Mike Tyson had a match out here and proceeded to bite off his opponent?s ear during the bout. Almost immediately our local town casino put up a billboard sign that said, ?If ya can?t beat em, eat em?. In the same spirit, surely there is to be a Texas style bumper sticker or something to commemorate this legislative session. I can?t think what it could possibly be but I reckon it will be hilarious and figure there are some very creative Texas minds working it up at this very moment. I hope one of our Texas bros here puts it up when it surfaces.

Default Humper......

I knew it, I just knew it. What a hoot, thanks. I assume that ?OK? has a double meaning. Now I?ll snicker all day. Damn my silly soul, I love this kind of humor. I?m hopeless, I know, too much time at sea does that to a person don?t ya see.

Well I have lived in Texas all my life except when I was in the service. I think that all of the politicians in Austin should go to Oklahoma and stay there! ( no per-diem of course or salary or perks) and we would probably save money in the long run by just starting over again-- kind of a roto-rooter affect--.

Default Appropriate Color

When the Chickencrats returned to Austin, they were greeted by dozens of inflated, yellow balloons, a most appropriate color for the "cut-and-run clowns." In addition to the money it will cost all us Texas taxpayers for their no-show, there were some bills pending in the Texas House that would have genuinely benefitted lower income people, but now, under our State rules, these bills are dead for this session. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I hear the tired, trite, stale bullshit about how the Democrats are the party of the little people - more lies, more tepid propaganda, more political pandering. These Democratic leadership of the Texas House knew they were going to have a can of whup-ass opened up on them, so they took the suggestion of their national masters, and fled the scene. Golly gee, I wonder what my men would have thought of me as their leader, when confronted by an NVA battalion, I told them I was going to go back to our basecamp and wait until a better time to fight?

Please don't judge all Texans by the example of the gutless wonders called the part-time vacationing Texas Democrats.
