Just a guess, but Diablo and Loco seem to fit well with Poncho & Cisco; the Cisco Kid series.

Then there always has to be the least liked. Mine was the Bishop Sheen hour. That was the downside of visiting Auntie, in LA for a Disneyland trip. Triple aarrgg, like cruel and unusual punishment and it seemed he droned on n’ on forever and a day. At the time that may have been a So Cal area show, only. Dodged the bullet, it didn’t get on the air here; I’d have been made totally crazy when a pre teen.

Then there is the favorite cereal box cards. My all time favorite was ‘Straight Arrow’, good stuff about forest craft things. Those cards came with a box of shredded wheat. So in games of Cowboys and Injuns, I preferred to be a pesky Injun; had my cards, so good to go, eh. Plus mostly I could run faster than the other boys, so that worked as well.

Well, Scamp,

You were first in with The Cisco Kid so you win first prize...a duck hunting trip with Dick Cheney.

I remember sending in a quarter with a coupon from Ovaltine and getting a red plastic Ovaltine drinking mug.

And from shredded wheat I remember 3-D pictures with glasses to look at the pictures with.

Oh how swell, a hunting trip with “Buck sure shot” Cheney. What a great prize, he he he. Hope I can rent an armored ATV.

Bishop Sheen! Geez! I haven't thought of him in years. As a "good" Catholic boy I had to watch the Bish because we were quizzed the next day on what he said during his show.

Default Rigger!

Your not going to believe this but I just gave my brother my red Ovaltine Cup with somebody on it that I have had all these years. (My brothers lost theirs...of course) Bill collects things like that....old lunch boxes etc. Anyway, mine was in perfect condition so I thought it would be good to loan it to him for his collection. Now, my friend, who was on the Ovaltine cup?????

Lord, I'd forgotten about the 3-D cards. We hated Shredded Wheat, at the time, but forced it down just to get the cards.

Packy,

Did all Ovaltine cups have the same thing on 'em?

Pretty sure mine was one of the Super-Heroes...CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT I think.
