We Had Damn Well Better Remain Upon Our Toes

“Intrigue” is really nothing new, save for the fact that: “It has been with us since the days of yore!” Unfortunately, however, it is questionable as to whether or not humanity will outlive it or just become buried beneath its staggering bulk? (hrt – 14 February 2024)

We have managed to sidestep - The Inevitability, and the Consequences, of Underestimating “Any Ponderous Force” - as well as dodging most of its intrigue’s (awesome weight) for years!” But for just how long can we escape the foolishness of our redundant actions and past-mistakes, before all of this intrigue finally overtakes us and leads us right into the midst of “Yet Another World Wide Conflagration!?”

Now I am sure that this ongoing prospect has not escaped the eyes or the minds of “The Powers That Be?” But in all reality, just how much did any of us really know about the possibility of war- say at about 7:55 A.M. on 7 December 1941? Rumors and apprehension – maybe (?), but to suffer such a staggering blow to our military - well we all know the pain, the suffer, and the losses that we incurred about eighty-two years ago at Pearl Harbor, not to mention the effort, the cost, and the toll in human life that was unleashed, and this is indeed mind-boggling!!

But once again, just how much of this was contemplated before that date of historical relevance (12/7/1941)? And if this surprise (?) attack was at least suspected or anticipated, then why were not better prepared and why were we so vulnerable? Or do we still believe that we can spring back from any such attack, regain our footing and then always surge-on to a finally victory?

Well some eighty-three years ago, “Our Uncle Sam” thought about the same way, causing us to lose a part of “Our Pacific Fleet” and countless lives as well! “And with China Flexing its Galactic Muscle” as it now is, you have got to wonder or at least question, the wisdom of sitting idly by, while “The Chinese” continue to build up their massive space war and nuclear potential!

So I can’t help but wonder what “Our Founding Fathers” would have thought about this whole mess, some two hundred and forty-seven years ago on 19 April 1775?
