Politicians Should Stop Hurting Regular People

Differing opinions and vigorous debate are healthy things, especially within government. But when some ultra-rigid party agenda, or even one’s personal ambitions, trump common sense and the collective good of the people, then it is the citizens themselves, and not the career politician, who often pay the price for the unbridled ambitions, greed, and egos of the connected few.

As a matter of fact, the similarities these days between some within our government and two gangs of spoiled brats fighting it out on some schoolyard over who is in control or who is the toughest is indeed remarkable. The only problem, however, is that it is usually the poor, innocent bystander who is caught between these two rock-throwing gangs of thugs who suffers the most damage as a direct result of these confrontations. Grow up, you people — innocent citizens are being hurt here!
