Do any of you recall being on the USS Denver, USS Whitfield, USS Alamo--March, 1970 thru April, 1971? We did riot patrol in Okinawa, Philippine Islands--US was giving Okinawa back to Japan. Do you remember a marine being late for morning call and Told to jump over board and so he did and got a medal for going beyond his call of duty. Of course, I was the one who call "Man over board". I was in front row and of course right there as the incident happened. Do you know Phillip W. Breaden, James Grooms, Sgt. Ethridge, James De Grande, Whitie Willingburg, John Scalaba?
