Getting your heart onto the screen isn't easy but I tried...
Somewhere Out There
Somewhere out there is a pathc of land A land of where God pressed his hand Blood seeped so far into ground Year's ago, that's where a head pound A block of metal was lain there To kill a body, they didn't care But as I sit in the dark here Another will shed a tear Not for mine but for her own Thank God I am not alone Somewhere out there is a piece of indented grass Most don't look, they only pass But I am here a lifetime away It is there, be as it may Years ago a bomb was blown And mine was hit alone Many for him, I know cried Because the lone fact that he had died Maybe for a reason, maybe for me But right now I can not think, I have to let be For somewhere out there is a missing heart And for this lifetime we will always be apart There should be a flower, one for me But over there it is too chaotic, and I cannot travel that sea So as I sit safe and sound Over there, that sacred ground Somewhere out there is someone who knows I need them, for truth my heart will sew That person is nameless for now But I wish they would come out and take a bow For it is them that keeps mine alive For if they left mine would surey dive So now as I search Those nam soldiers sit on theirs perch Laughing, knowing, that mine will never come back But he is who brought their life back to tack Somewhere out there is one of them One of them who will not condem One of them that cares about mine But they sit there just like me, questioning that patch Whose husband carries his rifle under their hatch Maybe it was he he who killed mine I know he wouldn't care, that's just fine Maybe it was mine that killed that boy His picture frame sitting in her lap, made only from soy Somehwere out there is a lost soul Thinking they don't want to pay that toll Take that train, leaving that jungle far away But if they don't, there he will forever lay He may be far from me now But if he leaves, safe he will always be, and that'll be his vow For if he stay My mind will surely sway For that land will alwys be Heaven to my heart is his key Somehwere out there is a patch of land A land of where God pressed his hand Blood seeped so far into ground Years ago, that's where a head pound A block of metal was lain there To kill a body, they didn't care But as I sit in the dark here Another will sehd a tear Not for mine but for her own Thank God I am not alone Ok so it is what it is, I wrote this a year ago and I'm not sure in what kind of state of mind I was in. I do write a lot but this is my first time writing something that rhymed so it probably isn't the best thing you've ever read. And it might not make sense but those are my feelings about everything and I hope it was at least a little enjoyable. taylor ~BNB~ |

Taylor,
Don't be concerned about it "making sense". Those who feel the flow from your heart will understand. Steve
