Both my parents had to sign for me to enlist since I was only 17. I did volunteer for 'Nam several times but the AF, in all its wisdom, never sent me. Here they had an actual voluteer; that's why "military intelligence" is an oxymoron.

I volunteered to go the Gulf, but I had to wait 6 years and go on shore duty in Nevada first.
