Granted – Winter’s Growing Nigh (Near), and even down here in the mountains of “Usually Sunny California” the frost is fast beginning to form on “The Old Late October Pumpkins, And A Definite Chill Is Beginning To Permeate The Quickly-Chilling Mountain Air!”

Of course, and it is also worthy to note - that being situated far up here in “The Oft-Time Frigid Back-Country”, and with more than a few of “My two-left feet dipping into the rapidly freezing mountain air”, the misnomer and the fallacy, of it never getting cold “Up Here In God’s Country” - is pure and unadulterated horse-manure!

“It is, in reality- damn cold and winter is fast approaching - just beyond those quickly forming clouds out yonder!!”

You know – For a dude that was partly reared in “The Blustering Chill of Out-Back New England”, and being no stranger to that blowing white-stuff, one would think that “The Bite of Winter” would begin to take it a little easier on my old octogenarian bones, but alas, maybe it is just time itself that is rapidly catching-up to my quickly decaying and rotting old carcass –

I've heard it said "that your only as old as you feel".

As for Me:

I like the seasons of - "Spring & Fall"
I hate hot Summer's - slows you down & always looking for shade.
Chicago Winter's - can get really cold at times.
But - In the spring new life emerges.
And in the Fall - life begins its long winter sleep.

I'm going in for surgery soon - more test first - and the its the knife.
Pain is atrocious at times - I've put it off - as long as I could.
VA is lining up some more testing - blood work - I suspect sometime
in Nov. I will go under the knife. Let's hope they can buy me some
more time - as you know I have a sick wife.

We are old (even though we say we aren't) things break down.
My wife - My youngest daughter - My Son-In-Law are all going under the knife - so I thought I would join in.

I suspect I will pull through it - I've had several before - I know the process.
