What's with today's P.A.O.'s??
I'm really sick of trying to get ahold of Public Affair Offices! I've always figured they were around to provide information. I have yet to get answers back from any of the one's I've contacted.
I asked the Liberty Bells VAW-115, if they have a photo to the E2 Libetry Bell 601. She was the last bird to trap on the USS Indpendence. Unconfirmed but the claim is she's also the last bird shot off the Indy. I've asked other squadron PAO's for info as well. The Indy site is trying to list the CO's, XO's, CAG's for all the squadrons that were ever on the Indy. The USS Reagan PAO, was asked about a Plank Owners Cruise Book. I'd like to buy one. No answer. I even sign the letter, that I am a Navy Vet and Cruise Book Historian for the INDY. Just sucks they can't take the time to tell me to shove off!
