Unhappy We The People

7-16-2022

With all due respect ‘and that is plenty’ - I personally feel that “Celebrity Status” is growing a bit thin in political arenas? In my opinion, a great many people feel that we need someone pulling the strings in government who is a bit more in touch with the common man and woman themselves? There is, after all, far more “Average Joes and Jills” out here, than there is super rich and powerful titans of industry and of finance!

But then again, maybe it is just me, and all of us other poor, dumb slobs out here, who feel that elitism, high finance, and celebrity status has their place, but then, how can you expect anyone who has not felt the pangs of hunger, the deprivations of poverty or the chill of the night-cold, to truly understand the feelings of hopelessness that arises when one does not even know where their next meal is coming from or even if they will have some kind of roof over their kid’s heads that cold and hard night? “AND NO” - Not everyone who is out on the streets, or who does not have a roof to shelter them, or even many of those “Honorable American Citizen” who feel the occasional pangs of hunger and deprivation - is a bum!!

Nor does our political elite, or those who send “Billions of Dollars” in tax-funded money abroad, really have any grasp upon actual reality, in my opinion? For “The Common American Tax Payer” and that includes everyone who pays even a small amount of their meager incomes on sales taxes as well, help to support those “Foreign-High-Life-Potentates” that are the beneficiaries of our political high-steppers who haunt the upper echelons of the ruling class!

And No Again, this is not some sour-grapes lament, but rather, it is a fact-based analogy about those who mistakenly still believe that it is our duty and responsibility to support half the world, and this at the very same time that “We the People of The United States” still have a multitude of our own problems that go untended and unresolved!

“AND IT IS YET MY OWN OPINION THAT CHARITY STILL BEGINS AT HOME- OR DON’T ANY OF YOU EVEN CARE ANYMORE!!”

HC - you always hit the nail on the head. That's why we have a National Debt.
And we the People have to pay off all these freebee's in the long run.
There is something wrong with this directive.

That's why nothing gets done about our infrastructure issues -
and when they do want to do any of it - we still have to pay for
those expenditures in higher taxes.
-
We buy our friends - until we cut funding off. But cut them off -
and they turn on ya.
-
Yep this is the American way of life of late and has been for quite
sometime.
-
Pad their pockets and then they will still stab you in the back.
-
The American way of short term prosperity!
