North Korea Launches Missile Near South Korean Border

Kim Jong-un is feeling his oats.

After the United States and South Korea wrapped up military exercises in the area, he hit that little red button again.

This time, however, the missile test was a bit more of a message, reportedly being launched from the southern border of North Korea.

Getting Close

While Kim has not yet claimed responsibility for the missile being fired, there is little doubt where it came from.

The missile’s proximity is a problem, as he has not pushed the envelope to this point by getting so close to the South Korean border.

Seoul believes he may be testing capabilities for a possible invasion.

This latest test comes only days after North and South Korea exchanged shots for allegedly breaking maritime borders.

Both countries were pointing fingers over alleged violations.

U.S. Indo-Pacific Command stated, “We are aware of the ballistic missile launches and are consulting closely with our allies and partners.

The missile’s proximity is a problem, as he has not pushed the envelope to this point by getting so close to the South Korean border.

“While we have assessed that this event does not pose an immediate threat to U.S. personnel or territory, or to our allies, the missile launches highlight the destabilizing impact of the DPRK’s unlawful WMD and ballistic missile programs.”

This is a very dangerous situation not only for South Korea, but for the United States as well.

We are in no position to offer support to two warring nations, as our stockpiles have been hit hard supporting Ukraine.

If South Korea gets involved in a conflict with North Korea, there is no telling how deep we would be pulled in.

I'm not sure whose going to fire the first nuke? But once one goes there's
usually going to be few more tossed in just because. This will result in a
war - that nobody really wants - especially the exchanging nukes.
It's getting close! All it takes is one to get the ball rolling.
