maggie most naval charges were fired using cordite charges not the old black powder and we had electric firing pf both the five inch 38 charges and our fixed ammo for the 3 inch 54 gun mounts we did not deal with any depleated urinaum like they use now but I know of willie peter also know as white phrophious and we shot alot of star shells at night but most of our shooting was done with regular shells with proximity fuses I don't know how much high explosives were in each one but they said they would level damn near anything.

Default What is the propellant in Munitions?

any size ...
from WWI to the present?

As you know, I suspect it is the OTHER chemical that is the cause of chronic fatigue and the 'odd assortment' of health issues from WWI, WWII, Vietnam, Korean, Gulfwars ... that is the real culprit

Which should be on the Presumptive Disability Approval list for ALL military

Not what is being blamed ... Dioxin, AO or whatever

I'm concerned about ALL of these symptoms/diagnosis

Whether coming over as a bomb .. from tanks ... from any size gun; cannon on ships, etc.

2-butoxyethanol IS used in propulsion (has lots of names)
But it's harm is unrecognized and for decades has been so

I think this is ONE reason there was more exposure to 2-butoxyethanol type chemicals of first gulf war

You could stop 'the syndromes' if you would require air tight goggles as protective equipment for all military ... when cleaning guns/ when around jet fuel/ when painting/ and most especially when blowing up munitions that are found here 'n there

Military should note carefully when soldiers get 'flu-like' symptoms with the CFIDS pattern following ... and most especially when diarrhea comes on. These are strong clues to 2-butoxyethanol poisoning.

This chemical is a pesticide, a poison, a solvent, a teratogen, a neurotoxin, a brain tumor - causing, a diabetes-causing and autoimmune-causing chemical. (Suspect for 'bird flu' also)

Best help? Glyconutrient food supplements

What are the 7 wonders of the world?

If I could have whatever I wanted in life,
it wouldn't be material possessions,
but good health and longevity

The explosive charge in ALL HE Munitions used by Artillery whether on land or sea is Composition "B". It is very stable and will not detonate from the shock of firing, ie" going from zero to about 900 miles per hour in about a tenth of a second. The lethal effect of this stuff is from the fragments that shoot out from the projectile when it explodes. The worst thing that you can get from the fumes from Comp-B is a headache. Folks who use TNT and Dynamite get the headaches too, but the folks who use Dynamite end up with heart problems because the fumes tend to dilate the blood vessels in the heart and when they don't get their "Dynamite Fix" they start having angina attacks. A few weeks away from the fumes and they are as "Right as Rain".
