Default What kind of tank do our Marines need?

What kind will they get?

General Dynamics plans to shoot off the WWI vintage big tanks (which cannot be appropriately armored) beyond the Valdez Glacier.... says they need a cold environment? Hmm

Maybe they just need to roll over some little guys to put the 305 million dollars the Marines have to spend ... in the pocket/s of General Dynamics?

Conclusion: there are many far better options for the USMC to go STS and do OMFTS than proceeding with the troubled EFV bloated amtrack boondoggle .

The person who wrote that blog doesn't seem to know what he's talking about. I think he means WWII vintage tanks not WWI and what he has pictured is not a "Tank" its an amtrack which is a lightly armored amphibious assault vehicle. It can float. Tanks can't float. The Marines are currently armed with the best Tank in the world, the Abrams. Same one the Army has. I don't think that whoever wrote that article has a clue as to what General Dynamics is planning to do.

Also tell the clueless blogger that the M in Marines is a capital letter

"I am not pleased to hear of General Dynamics rushing for the money the marines have to spend on tanks"

Default No ... WWI male tanks

No he pictures the WWII tanks as that is the best tank to model after, just armor more.

The WWI male tank (had cannon not just machine guns as the female tanks did) ... is what General Dynamics is working from.

I think if they can get the money that's out there, that's all they care about.
Did you see the movie, "AFTERBURN" in which General Dynamics knew of the design flaw in the F-16 and sold it to the military without disclosing such?

I have no respect for General Dynamics ... and certainly no trust.

I also suspect the bomb fumes put out by the male Tanks of WWI were the cause of bird flu, and that's what Valdez, Alaska has to look forward to when they test this
