Dean Dismisses Uday, Qusay Kills

Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean wasn't exactly jumping for joy over the news that Saddam Hussein's sons Uday and Qusay had been killed by U.S. forces in Iraq.

"It's a victory for the Iraqi people," he told reporters, "but it doesn't have any effect on whether we should or shouldn't have had a war."

In comments covered by the Associated Press, the disgruntled Democrat added, "I think in general the ends do not justify the means."

Despite the good news for America, Dean tried to stick to his sour grapes message, complaining that his Democratic rivals shouldn't have supported the war.

"Why is it that those in Congress have waited until now to question the intelligence," he whined. "Why were they not asking these questions and seeking the truth nine months ago, before they voted to give the president blank-check authority to go to war?"

Your posting only proves my contention that some of these people would bitch if Bush (1) found a cure for cancer (2) solved the world's hunger problem and (3) wrote the great American novel. Their overwhelming hatred for him is so pathetically transparent, and their desperation in trying to find something with which to denigrate him and his accomplishments will only serve to push more and more independent voters away from the liberals and into the Republican camp. The stunning significance of the elimination of these Iraqi thugs is lost on the stupid, but not on the citizens of Iraq; the spontaneous celebrations of green stracers fired into the air are ample proof that the folks there know that a big curse has been lifted off the shoulders of the newly liberated people.

The next election is 16 months away ( about 488 days ) ....anything positive that Bush & Co. do, will be denigrated by the Dems and the liberal media, because it will only serve to re-elect the Prez..so the Dems will have and will become, more than ever, cheerleaders for negativity...YOU CANNOT WIN AN ELECTION BY BEING NEGATIVE...

Default Larry,

shhhh.... don't wake them up, or shake them from their stupor! I wonder if Dean has tried to connect the dots, the really simple exercise in logic: "It's a victory for the Iraqi people..." he begrudgingly admitted. Next dot: how did he envison the elimination of the Two Sons of Thug #1, voluntary exile to Haiti or some other unlikely scenario? Next dot: the majority of Congress, including many Democrats, voted for the military action, and Dean can't stand the fact that his voice was ignored. Earth to Dean: It's called being on the losing end of a debate and vote, so get over it. Or better yet, keep whining, keep carping and sniveling, as everyone of your actions just solidifies the opposition to your leftist rants.
