Default The Angels were crying!

I was going through some of my saved e-mails today and came across this from my daughter from last November.

November 5th 2007 was the 40th anniversary of my getting wounded in Vietnam in 1967.

My baby girl , God Bless her, (she's now 34 years old with two children and living in the Atlanta area) remembered how hard it was for me every November and how I "celebrated" it similar to what this video describes.

Some of you have probably seen it before, if not------it pretty much says it all for those of us who served and were wounded in that hell hole.

Default Everytime

I see something like this, it just brings back the war to now, not then where it belongs. So many date, so many places, so many fire fights, so many memories that can come back in a flash, and then I come back home again. For as much as we have let Vietnam go there is part of Vietnam that won't let us go.

Gimp...hadn't seen that and thank you so much for the post. Huge desert sandstorm here. All I had to do was substitute the date for the 6th of May 69'.

Thanks.....and God bless that little girl of yours.

And of course...you too!

Default Thanks

My brother................

Yep, if that song & video don't bring on the "sandstorms" then something just ain't right for sure.

I'm blessed to have that little baby girl of mine alright. She's very involved at her church and in her community with veterans issues. Her last two years of college she did volunteer work at the VA hospital in Decatur (Atlanta VA), GA. a couple of days a week. She worked in the nursing home with older vets and she developed a real sense of how much this country owes to all our brothers & sisters. I'm very, very proud of her.

I'll pass along your thoughts to her.

Thanks again,

Gimp

Question DudelyDearing

Just tried from this end and it's working fine???

Must be something going on with your location?

You could try and go to youtube.com and search for Big & Rich videos, maybe you can get it to work that way?

Otherwise, I don't have a clue.

Good luck,

GIMPY
