The Beauty Queen came back home.
The Investigative arm of the Cong An declared the affair terminated
and no kidnapping had occurred.
Most newspapers in Vietnam including the ultra conservative Quan Doi
Nhan Dan (People Army Newspaper)showed disbelief.

I don't think that the affair should be terminated so easily.
The Cong An had shown contempt for people in Vietnam who have no
choice because they are under their thumb but also people in the World
who are interested in the well being of Vietnamese people.

At the minimum Maiphuong should have a physical examination to see if
she was raped during her escapade. Second she should have a
psychological evaluation to see if she had been pressured.

An exit visa should be issued to Maiphuong right now

Totally, I agree with you. The prime minister must order a throrough
investigation and let no stones unturned untill the truth come out.
If there was a kinapping. Then all the guilty people must be put on trial.
That includes the persecution of people who cover it up.

If the Vietnamese government want the trust of the Vietnamese overseas. Then
at least they must start from here.
