Well I agree with you Merc, I'm a bit conflicted here. I have long sang my
praise of the chopper crews that came for us as well as the medic that rode
with me and I'd like all of them to get their due.

And like your CIB I think that is what this amounts to mostly. Maybe the rules
need changing, maybe they don't.

No doubt you remember Charlie White and I pissing and moaning about not getting
our Combat Artillery Badge and Combat Armor Badge. Many of my 11-Es that I ran
dismounts with had secondary 11-Bs and we got them their CIB while I didn't.
But I'm fine with that, I wasn't an infantryman and I didn't deserve the CIB.

I can think of no higher honor than to wear a CIB or the CMB.

And I still want my CAB.
