38 years ago today
Working in Site R, Ft. Ritchie, Md. At 1000 hours I got a call to go to the Waynesboro, Pa. hospital. Joanne was in labor. The waiting room in the maternity ward had the coffee on. I drank several pots of it but by 2200 hours Therese Michelle, AKA Number One reported for duty. Proud of her then. Even prouder today. Got a pay raise that day, $21 a month. Monthly pay went to $142 and she was worth every penny of it.
