OK maybe this does, maybe this doesn't belong here but as I go by gas stations and look at skyrocketing prices and I see our freight cost go higher and higher for EVERYTHING I start to think about our blood ottah be worth sumthin. Every drop coming out of the ground in Iraq that isn't used directly by and for that countries well being should be on it's way to England and America. Not one drop should stop in Europe. Iraq, get to hell out of OPEC. Aren't OPEC nations right now sending insurgents into Iraq to blow away any signs of democracy?
I hear every liberal leftest say how the invasion of Iraq was for oil but there ain't none of it at the pumps yet.
Oil for food be damned. How about OIL FOR OUR BLOOD?????
BTW Iraq, enjoy the liberties and freedoms given to you by Uncle Sam.
Get (oil) out of Iraq NOW.

Think the rest of the world doesn't know that? Thats why we only have one major ally left in Iraq: Britain. After that, what? Tonga? Uzbekistan? The rest of the world told us to shove it, which was not a bad idea on their part, seeing as how its turning out: an Israeli/Palestinian situation with no "win" only death and destruction. So here we are, stuck in a war that began on lies, a war we stand no chance of winning.

Jameshas stated more than one time on this site that those that were not in Vietnam have nothing to say about it.I can assure youwe have warriors in Iraq that would appreciate it ifJames and those likehimwould keeptheir mouth shut about the war they arefighting in Iraqandget 100% behind them toget the job done so they can come home.

Shame on any of us and especiallyVietnam Veteransthat put our troops in harms way and embolden those that have them in their crosshairs byexpressing our lack of confidence in their ability to fight and win any war , any time, any place!

Arrow :

Let me get this right ..anytime a Republican President invades a country while engaging in wholesale lying, we should just rollover until the whole bloody mess is over and shut the f**k up ?? Well, thank God this country still doesn't work like that. All those brave young men and women ( and some a lot older ) volunteered for that duty. I didn't volunteer for shit. I was forced to fight in a war, in the wrong place, at the wrong time, for the wrong reasons, that was run by a bunch of war criminals. I still stand side by side with my brothers and sisters from Vietnam no matter what they thought of it then or now, just as I will stand beside the veterans of this "conflict". When and if we do leave, we will just be a distant memory, and they will return to their ritual blood-letting that they have been doing for 6,000 years. You are dead wrong. Period.

ok ok the f word is out

latest polls

http://www.pollingreport.com/iraq.htm

CNN/USA Today/Gallup Poll. June 16-19, 2005. N=1,006 adults nationwide. MoE ? 3.

.

"Do you favor or oppose the U.S. war with Iraq?"

.

Favor Oppose Unsure
% % %
6/16-19/05
39 59 2

that means only 39% of the American people still support this "conflict" ..there are only about 23+ million veterans or less than 8 % of the population..you do the math...

Default Arrow...

Thank you very much for defending the sanity of supporting Our Troops wholeheartedly during wartime,...and not the nationally-suicidal approach as America's Chamberlain-like Leftist Leaders would much prefer, and daily advocate. Would that more in authority or notables were as forthright as yourself (plus some others here).

Neil

P.S. Chas H,
Thank you too, for pretty-much proving the point (no doubt inadvertantly) that some: "Young nieces and nephews" ACTUALLY ARE wiser, aware and more forthright than some grown ups.
You should be proud of your nieces and nephews.
