My ancester John Dick was in this battle. He was in the SC Militia.

I've been to the battle site a few times. If Cornwallis hadn't used the very radical tactic of firing his cannon into the melee, he would've lost. By sacrificing his men to his artillery he forced Greene to withdraw.

This battle took place in NC. I am from KY and have found 8 ancesters who fought in the Rev. and moved to KY or their children moved to Ky.
