Hurting Where It Don't Show
2-14-2018
Apparently, the stubborn old mule and the politician have a great deal in common, as does the story of “Old Rosie (the Bar Girl)” who once hustled drinks - far to the south of “Our International Border with Mexico!”
It seems that every time “A Rich Old Gringo” would offer “The Wiley Senorita” a glass of cheap tequila, the bartender would substitute water in its place, and that night, the two (Rosie and the bartender) would split-up the profits!
Politicians too, sometimes pull off a similar ruse by convincing the voting public that they are Spartan (frugal) in their own expenditures, and magnanimous (generous) in their concerns for the people and their pressing needs? “Would It Were True?”
But like “That Stubborn Old Mule and Dear Old Rosie”, what they say, and what they actually do to make a living, “Sometimes Leaves You Hurting Where The Sun Don’t Shine!”
