Mr Ryan, Sir!
I know. Actually, it was primerily You whom was in my mind, when I decided to post specifically the 9th ID links on this forum. I hope however that, there are also other 9th ID Veterans active on this forum, whom will also find my above post "usefull". More "unitlinks" later on.... T G C! Sincerely A.B |

Thanks A.B.
For gathering these resources for us.
I've been to several of them before. Never seen a couple of them, great to see some old photos. Thanks again.

Gimpy and Doc.2/47, Sir's!
Thank You for your replys! Doc.2/47, Sir! I will add the 2/47th Mech-site to my linkscollection, as I am currently working updating my links. Have checked the site a little, and it is a great site! I am especially happy to see, that you have managed to locate so many of your Brothers from the 2/47th Mech. Thank You for sharing the link with me. Also. Noticed that site contains maps, by 1:250K-scale. If wanting to check for maps by 1:50K-scale ("!"), check within the below "TTU"-link: TTU Vietnam Project -maps by scale 1:50.000 (!) (Best maps I have Ever seen!): http://star.vietnam.ttu.edu/starweb/...h=vva/maps.web For mapnumber-reference, for which number to enter in the "mapnumber-field of the above TTU-sites mappage, please see: Omnimap mapsheet referenses -SVN (1:50K) + NVN (1:50K) + SEA(1:250K JOG-maps): http://www.omnimap.com/catalog/image...for/vn-50s.jpg http://www.omnimap.com/catalog/image...for/vn-50n.jpg http://www.omnimap.com/catalog/image...r/jog-asse.jpg Though the 1:50K-scale TTU-maps are really superb, there is 1 thing that is "not so good" about them.... They are huge in "byte-size". (Chose "large" for jpg or "fullsize" for pdf. Clicking on the "small" versions of either the jpg's or the pdf's is pointless, as they are to small to really be of any use actually. For some reason, there is no "middle size" available). Due to this, they may not be possible to open on the screen, if not having a reasonably fast internet-connection for the computer. But if having so, it is indeed worth the time it takes to open them. Just wanted to share this also. T G C! Sincerely A.B |
