The Snake
If you would care to examine “The Snake” for yourself and make up your own mind about its intentions, here are the lyrics in full:
------------------------------------------------------- On her way to work one morning, Down the path alongside the lake, A tender-hearted woman saw a poor half-frozen snake. His pretty-colored skin had been all frosted with the dew. “Oh well,” she cried, “I’ll take you in and I'll take care of you.” “Take me in oh tender woman, “Take me in, for heaven's sake, “Take me in oh tender woman,” sighed the snake. She wrapped him up all cozy in a curvature of silk And then laid him by the fireside with some honey and some milk . Now she hurried home from work that night as soon as she arrived. She found that pretty snake she’d taken in had been revived. “Take me in, oh tender woman , “Take me in, for heaven’s sake, “Take me in oh tender woman,” sighed the snake. Now she clutched him to her bosom, “You’re so beautiful,” she cried. “But if I hadn’t brought you in by now you might have died.” Now she stroked his pretty skin and then she kissed and held him tight . But instead of saying thanks, that snake gave her a vicious bite. “Take me in, oh tender woman, “Take me in, for heaven’s sake, “Take me in oh tender woman,” sighed the snake. “I saved you,” cried that woman. “And you've bit me even, why? “You know your bite is poisonous and now I’m going to die.” “Oh shut up, silly woman,” said the reptile with a grin, “You knew damn well I was a snake before you took me in, ”Take me in, oh tender woman, “Take me in, for heaven’s sake, “Take me in oh tender woman,“ sighed the snake.

Welcome Back HC & thanks Brenda
- Women have a habit of looking over us - as they do a child - born onto her. - Without them - we would suffer from our illness's as well & our poor mannerism's - of many issues & more so - for them caring for us. - Compassion was given to them by God himself. He knew men would be careless - and in many ways - we are. - I'm taking care of my wife - but it seems my daughters are far better at it - than I - even at my best. - Kathleen is failing and now we have a certified hospice nurse once a week come to the house to check her out and make her comfortable. - My oldest daughter Heather has forsaken all other options - to save and help her Mother - as I too have been showing signs of male retardation - as she put it! (Failings & memory). - I worry about Kath and my long life of having her at my side - during the good and the bad - of everything that comes our way. - Women have a strong inner strength & compassion more so then men - as God gave them this gift knowing that men needed their guidance to keep them in line. - I wouldn't be where I'm at today - if not for my wife and her input on many of our decisions. It's not that I can't make my own - but at times her 2nd opinion and/or consideration is needed. - Spontaneous actions can often times backfire at times - but we also learn from them - and hopefully they are the right ones! - God Bless you Both HC & Brenda - Boats
