Arrow Viet Nam Veterans Memorials Around The World... Heads up also for "ANZAC's"!

Sir's, and Ma'am's!

Viet Nam Veterans Homepage -Viet Nam Veterans Memorials Around The World:
http://vietvet.org/vietmems.htm
http://grunt.space.swri.edu/vietmems.htm

Roll Of Honor, Viet Nam, for ANZAC!

Australia:
http://vietvet.org/austwall.htm
http://grunt.space.swri.edu/austwall.htm

Website well worth visiting, for the Viet Nam Veterans Memorial in Canberra, Australia, is a subpage for the RAA 104th Sign Sqdn:
http://www.au104.org/AVFNM.html

New Zeeland:
http://vietvet.org/nzlist3.htm
http://grunt.space.swri.edu/nzlist3.htm

(Notes by A.B:

1- The "dual URL"-posting per each subpage above, is due to "Viet Nam Veterans Homepage" having a so called "mirror-site", hense the 2 URL's per each subpage posted about.

2- Some links to Memorials within the "Viet Nam Veterans Memorials Around The World"-subpage are so called "broken links", and sought site does not display. Despite this fact, there Is one way to yet still access the site, despite it evidently having been closed! Please do as follows:

Go to: http://www.archive.org and put the URL of the broken link in the field named "waybackmachine". When resultpage is displayed by this, click on a date. If 1 date does not work, just choose another such. Normally however, the "youngest date usually works. But sometimes one may have to choose an "older" date. Note also that, when "in" the site initially sought, the page you have "up", is Not the "limit". You Can from there, click onwards within that sites other subpages also.

I do recommend Everyone to save the "archive"-link to your bookmarks, as it is Highly usefull, and by its existence, you will no longer have to throw away link for websites which are closed, and by this, you will yet still have access to needed information and informationsources.

End notes by A.B).

T G C!

Sincerely
A.B

Very nice. I live about 12 miles from the California Memorial in Sacramento, I have been the Memorial on several memorial days to honor our fallen brothers and sisters, over a period of 3 days, all the names are read aloud. My wife's cousin was killed in Hue during the Tet offensive in 1968. He was with the Marines, but I don't know what Marine Unit. It is good to see Austrilia and New Zeland have memorials to honor there fallen Vietnam War deaths.

Sir!

In the above reply, you mention your wife's cousine, who was KIA in RVN. You wrote that you do not know in which Marine unit he served.

Should you, or anyone else in your family wish to find this detailed info out, please let me know:

1) His name (Last name, First name, middle name or initial).

2) Casualtydate.

With the above info, I am most likely able to let you know in which unit your wife's cousine served in, down to company-level, with just 1 check.

You can of course check on your own aswell, by direct link:

The Coffelt Database:
http://www.virtualwall.org/docs/vwdbase.htm

But as the files can be hard to open, due to being a bit large, should you not be able to do so, I will of course do the check for you, and e-mail/"PM" you back!

Also.

Either if I do the check, or if you let me know which unit your wife's cousine served in, I can also check further, for websites for a possible "unit-assn website", and share That info with you aswell. Perhaps if a such exists (most likely it does, since most Marine units in RVN does have a such, at least for Divisional assn-level, but also for down to Bn-level, assn-wise), your wife could be able to reach men whom served with her cousine. This, if that is something she wishes to do of course.

Let me know? Either way so to say? Preferably by "private message" however, as I will leave for south by Tuesday early morning, and not be able to be online again until this upcomming Saturday. By "PM", it will be easier for me to retain your answer and wish regarding the above. This specific post-thread will move rapidly "downwards"on this forums "history". Just easier by "PM" I feel.

T G C!

Sincerely
A.B
