Default At the museum

When we got to the Infantry Museum it was lined we trainee on both sides of the drive and al were clapping their hands as we pulled in,if tears didn't come to your eyes nothing will. The ceremony started with the Silver Wings Parachute team of Fort Benning jumping in,followed by a Blackhawk chopper and 4 Rangers fast roping in with full combat gear, after that Blackhawk came back in and picked up the 4 Rangers,on rope hanging from chopper and took them away.Pretty inpressive show.Last presentation was two Ranger showing off their hand to hand combat skills.

Default MIA/POW Monument

This is the monument that was put up in front of the Infantry Museum. It was unveiled by MG Walter Wojdakowski(Commander of Fort Benning)Command Sergeant Major Lonny Wright(Fort Benning) and SGM Jan Stegerman(President SGTMajor Association).Colonel Benjamin H. Purcell,Retired spoke. He was a POW during Vietnam and was held for 5 years.A wreath laying was held(what the Blackhawk didn't blow off) and a 21 gun salute was given and at last "Taps" was played. It was a very hot day(around 96)but we had a wonderful time and can't wait till next year.....
