Default What a relief
Just got an e-mail from my son. He writes that he is now in Kuwait, waiting for his flight back to Fort Riley.

What a relief. Thanks for all the prayers and kind words from you guys over his service and safety.

Let him talk about what he wants to. Let him know that you'll listen whenever he wants to talk. I may be preachin' to the choir but sometimes in our own passion we forget. He'll be comfortable talking with you when he's ready. Remember how you were.

Great news Kid. I kinda know the feeling. My son was in Ft Sill Arty school during Desert Storm and it ended so fast that he didn't have to go. We were relieved as hell too.
