Was up in Toronto several years ago, visited a great place (kinda like Dearfield Village near Detroit) called Black Creek. One craftsman there made things out of wood in the traditional way, and we got to talking.
I picked up a an old timey lookiing canteen he makes, and came to find out it was a replica of the ones made in those parts by Canadians to supply the "other" side in the unpleasantness. So, I got me one... it's been hanging on my coat rack since 1995, & works just fine for the purpose intended.
