Default Ewwwww

I clicked on this post to look at the nice pictures, whoa what a shock to find a scary spider. I have such a fear of spiders I couldn't close the page quick enough. I did however see a nice looking turtle though on the last page. Thanks?? for sharing the great pictures.

Kath, Spiders are our friends.
Melody,
We get snow here in the winter. Similar to Spokane, WA in year around temp but drier. We'll usually have a foot of snow on the ground sometime in the winter. I've seen 42" of snow on the ground one winter, it was the all time record. The mountains between Ellensburg and Seattle, the Cascades, are the snowiest mountains in the world. The pass between Ellensburg and Seattle on I-90 is often closed for avalanch control. So if we want snow we go to the Mountains.

Keith,
Looks like the west weather is very similar to ours. Snow this time of year is common. Usually the last of Sept. gives us the first flurries. Then the cold hits in about Dec. to the single digit and below zero's. We're getting nighttime temps of 30 - 40 deg. now. Christmas day '02 we got the record snowfall of 40" in 9 hours. That was the deciding factor in buying a plow.
