Mel,

Nolan Ryan!

Yep! Cool beans!

The only "famous person" autograph I have is Jock Mahoney who played Yancy Derringer on TV in the 50's.

We were eating in a restaurant in Charlotte, NC, in 1959 when I was 13.

Mom recognized him at another table eating alone, so we went over, got his autograph, and chatted for a few minutes.

He was in town taping a guest appearance for a local TV show.

He didn't seem to mind at all, and was very cordial!

I went to pick up my wife at the hospital where she's a nurse. I saw her down the corridor speaking to a guy who looked familiar to me. As I got closer I recognized him; former Boston Bruins great and NHL Hall of Famer, Bobby Orr. He had showed up out of the blue and went to Pediatrics with a large carton of Boston Bruins t-shirts, caps, pennants and posters of himself which he autographed for the kids. He had a couple of posters left so he signed one for me. Nice guy. The kids just loved him.
