Annette just called to let me know the sad news. Andy truely is in a better place and Annette is doing well. She really believes his passing was a blessing due to the pain he was in. I also believe this. My only regret, other than loosing my dear brother, is that I cannot be there for his funeral.

We will all meet again on the Fiddlers Green.

I love you Andy!

Airborne!

Pack, the other Tom

I had a few quick trips into Boston to visit my daughter when she lived there until 2005. I'll always regret not having or taking the time to meet Andy. He had mentioned getting together for coffee.

And the hits just keep on coming...

Andy was one of the very best of us and will leave a hole in the world that cannot be filled. Some men can get it together and become heroic for a few moments. Andies' whole life was heroic. I can't say how proud and honored I am to have known him.

I'm willing to bet that the Grim Reaper now has a limp and missing teeth.

Wish I could say more. Can't see to type.

Unhappy I Never Met Andy In Person BUT:

I never met Andy in person but I feel as though I have lost a very close friend. He was a special guy when I reached out to him, by PM from this Forum, and asked him for advice a couple of years ago. He helped me understand the feelings I was holding inside concerning losing my Best Buddy in Nam. Later he helped me decide to take an early Medical Retirement rather then let my job hurt my health any longer. In both cases he was caring and took the time to help another Vietnam Vet in need of advice. May God bless him and give him an extra special place where he can finally be free of his suffering and pain.

My most sincere sympathy to all of Andy's Family on Andy's loss. He truly was ONE OF A KIND and a loving Husband and Father.

He was also a TRUE FRIEND to all of us here on the Patriot Files. We have all lost a VERY SPECIAL PERSON. HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BY EVERYONE THAT KNEW AND HAD CONTACT, WITH HIM.

Saint Peter has announced the arrival of another Vietnam Vet to the Gates of Heaven when Andy reported. I know God then said "Enter Vietnam Veteran--YOU HAVE ALREADY SPENT YOUR TIME IN HELL".

To all of my Vietnam Veteran Brothers and Sisters I again state:

WELCOME HOME:

VIETNAM 1968
