Bro Chris,

I loveth snow. I'm the person that calls and wakes people up to tell them to look out their window it's snowing. I take pictures of snow and send them to people that can see snow on the moutains in the towns they live in. They write back with words like. And the point is? Here are some before and after pictures of my neighborhood before our first snow.

Post Snow, did you folks say snow!

Well, we've had snow on the ground since before Thanksgiving.
It's snowed about 10'' since Christmas and they said we'll get between 10 and 12 inches tomorrow. When we lived in Newport, WA (45 miles N.E. of Spokane on the Idaho border) We always had lots of snow. We measured snow by the foot rather than the inches in Newport. Lots of below zero weather and ice fishing. I think the next time I move it will be some place where it never snows. Like Hawaii!

If we get 10 inches of snow tomorrow that means we'll have 20" on the ground. That's a bit much. I'm getting cabin fever. GRRRRRRRR. Let me out of my cabin. I want to go golfing or fly fishing. GRRRRRRRRRR.

In the Memphis TN. area I believe our average yearly snowfall is 5"..it is usually more than that when it comes, or none at all. It would be nice to have a few every year. None here yet. Our winter ends for all practical purposes in 8 weeks ! Still haven't got over the 60 degree swing here....Enjoy your snow and winter !!!!!

Post Snow Report NorthWest

The Weather Service is calling it the Mega Snow Storm of 2004 for the Northwest. It just started snowing this morning about 6:00 AM. The major highways in Oregong and Washington are shut down, mostly due to accidents, according the local News. All schools on the Westside (Westside of the Cascades) have been shut down and the government is asking that all businesses close if possible. The folks in Western Washington and Oregon rarely get snow so they don't have a clue as how to drive in the stuff. My wife works 12 miles up in the mountains at a year round camping and retreat center, so she drives in lots of snow everyday all winter long, but if you don't understand how to drive in snow, it can be scary.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Keith
