James out of all those things you are repenting, drinking that damn Carling Black Label was the worse-as far as the steam and creams-I still love the smell of that Jergens' lotion or as we used to call it Jerckins lotion

Well, you know how I hate to brag, but after the war (in that 18--22 year range) I stole 1/4 lb of pot out of the trunk of my car WHILE THE COPS WERE WATCHING IT!!!
I was thankful for all that lrrp training and experience then you betcha. Did I say I was armed and ready to use it? Lucky I didn't wind up in the gas chamber, this could have gone way wrong. Good thing I'm sneakier than I am brave

Re: pot, Suntory, Black Label, whorehouses? Did I say I was repenting? No only confessing and this is only the leastest of it.from reading posts I somtimes get the impression that everybody but me and Ron woke up and said their prayers in a cold bath every morning.
Dang, Ron, if it wasn't for you and me and Don, they might have actually won the hearts and minds of the Vietnamese. I had to buy mine by the half hour
Well, SinLoy and save 6 for pall bearers
Later all, off to San Diego

I may have told this story before. I only saw one man who knew he was going to die before it happened. From time to time the three line platoons would leave one soldier per APC in the rear with the mortar platoon and the gear from each APC. For some reason one fella started rasing holy hell with his platoon sgt. as they were pulling out. There was a look of sheer terror on his face. I can still see it as I am wriitng these words...As it happened it was his turn to stay back, and he had told some of his friends that he felt like he was going to be killed that day. He was forced to go anyway and stepped on a mine ( maybe a 105 round ) that cut him in two.....

Have been out of it for awhile and just read this from the start. If I had been sent home and they tried to sent me back and I felt I wouldn't come back...if I had the feeling of the guy I saw above, I woul n't have went back. That is just me. Peace.
