Keith W. Nolan is also the author of several other books, all very well received by military reviewers and most readers, about the Vietnam war. I've got a personally authographed copy of "Operation Buffalo: USMC Fight for the DMZ." I helped Nolan with the research on his writing of "Battle for Saigon: Tet 1968." One of his other books, "Ripcord: Screaming Eagles Under Siege, Vietnam 1970," is anothe excellent read.
Larry, you'll recall, months and months ago, you posted a website about a soldier from the 2-47th Inf (Mech), who complained about one of my stories, and called Nolan a "hack writer," or some lame approbation. If this guy is at the regimental reunion that I'm going to later this week in Columbus, GA, I going to ask him to explain himself! We've also invited Nolan, but I don't believe his schedule permits the trip. He could sell a boatload of books if he showed up!

I have probably read well over 500 books and magazines ( paperback and hardback ) fiction and non fiction, about Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia from 1950 - 1975 over the past 20+ years, and all of his books are some of the very best. I helped him with research for his book "Into Cambodia", which has a chapter about our very incompetent CO, who was relieved in Cambodia.
For anyone reading this who hasn't read any Keith William Nolan books, there are usually some at a reasonable price on eBay. Larry

Nolan also wrote "Sappers in the Wire" the story of my battalion's fight on LZ Maryann in 1971. (I was long gone by then)Good read and the vets who were there vouch for it.
