...JROTC, I went to a military school for 4 years, attained the rank of Captain which for enlistment, gave me a wing going in, and the first day I got there (which was one day late), it came up through conversation from "Mac", another that was taking the test asking if I was going to, and I was all ears, I asked to sign up through the admin office for the Flt. and the test was two part, pass the first,get to take the second, I never heard of it before, but wasn't going to voice any gripes about" hey, want to get out of basic 7 weeks early, no Sir, err mamn, not me

...passed the first, and came within one question of not passing the second, but I PASSED, had to pass your red line inspections, etc and confidence course, run 2 miles in less the 12 minutes I think, and you were done,.................

...Hey, when your good enough to get out in 8 days, so be it, as while the rest of you slow pokes took 8 - 12 weeks, I laugh every time I think of my short vacation in San Antonio,...

...I was really "special op's" and the gov't needed me on a super secret mission in a hurry, so my cover was blown 8 days in, and they had to get me out fast,...

Man, and I tried joining the AF and they treat new Airmen like that, I am glad they rejected me for physical reasons. Why on earth would you not be allowed to spend a night with family who haven't seen you in six weeks? This just itches for more AF jokes.

Cat....I'll tell you all about the Playmate T.I. at the mountain. It was the only good part of the trip.

Brice....I would have really loved to have been able to enjoy Texas. Did get to go back to the Alamo...which I love, but it was crowded, cold, and rainy there also. Brrrrrr!

Lobo,

Not sure how the Army does it these days, but after we graduated we were treated as soldiers. I know the Corps treats their graduates as Marines, the AF treated their's like 12 year olds. I have even more respect for the Corps then I did a week ago.
